Do you feel that the first step to a healthy lifestyle is maintaining an active lifestyle or would you like to help individuals and athletes meet their potential? Then a career as a Personal Fitness Trainer is for you! ATI's Personal Fitness Trainer (PFT) diploma program is designed to prepare students for a rewarding career in the health and fitness training industry in as few as 35 weeks.

As a student of ATI's PFT program, students will receive practical training to conduct exercise-related assessments and tests, design safe and effective exercise programs, and implement safe weight loss/gain guidelines. We also offer a variety of business skills including exercise programming, interpersonal communication, and marketing that is essential for success in commercial, corporate, or private personal training environments. Certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillators (AED) are included in this program. Our PFT course of study prepares students to sit for the National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer (NASM CPT) examination. Students also have the option to prepare for the Corrective Exercise Specialist (NASM CES) certification and Performance Enhancement Specialist (NASM PES) certification exams.

Students must possess a high school diploma, GED or recognized equivalent, or demonstrate the ability to benefit from training. Non-high school graduates or students who do not possess appropriate equivalency may be admitted under ability to benefit (ATB) criteria with a minimum score of Verbal-200 and Quantitative-210 on the Wonderlic Basic Skills Test.
